Columbia Men's Ridgestone Waterproof Hiking Jacket - Lightweight Windbreaker for Outdoor Adventures, Camping & Travel

I'm 6' 3" 215 lbs and had to have this coat taken in. I waited until the jacket was half price knowing I'd pay $40 to have it tailored. However, it was well worth it. I love the coat, there are no others like it, and it fits the purpose I wanted - inbetween coat: for when my parka is too hot and when I'd be too cold in my fleece. I'd say ideal conditions for the coat are zero to 30 degrees. Again, perfect for between Temps in Minnesota!I spent a great deal of time looking at winter jackets on Amazon. There are some really attractive looking jackets that are Chinese made and priced in the $50-100 range, Wantdo, Cior, etc... but almost all of them had reviews that mentioned the sizing being way off and quality issues. Upon further research I stumbled upon this jacket made by Columbia and boy am I glad I did. Upon opening the package I noticed an Authentic Columbia manufacturer's tag with a MSRP of $130, almost double what I paid for it through Amazon. This thing feels like a $130 jacket, it's so well made. It's light, yet just as warm as your heavier made jackets. You'll read a lot about the sizes running a little big and I tend to agree with that, I am 6'0 220lbs and the XL I ordered fits to my expectations but I like my jackets slightly loose incase I want to wear a hoodie underneath. This is a top notch jacket, warm, light, and durable, all with a stylish design. I would definitely recommend this jacket.I purchased this jacket in mid December and it has functioned perfectly over the last month. I tend to overheat quickly but this jacket "breathes" well though it is insulated. I find that in temps over 35 degrees, it can be slightly too much but it excels in freezing/below freezing weather. This is one of the best Columbia jackets I have owned - I've received several compliments on the jacket.I love this jacket. Fits well and keeps me warm in the worst weatherGreat product.
